Flip Flop Quilt
This quilt would make a good group project with lots of pairs of feet. I made a pattern from a flip flop and cut it out of a polystyrene pizza base so that it was easy to trace around. For each pair of flip-flops:
1. Trace a left and right foot onto bondaweb. You can use the same pattern, flip it over for the other foot.
2. Iron the bondaweb onto the fabric of your choice. Batik fabrics in bright colours look great.
3. Cut out along the lines to get a left and right foot.
4. Iron onto the yellow beach fabric.
5. Stitch around the feet.
6. Take a length of ribbon and divide it into two pieces.
7. Fold each piece in half and sew each end onto the flip-flop in the right place.
8. Sew the toe end down with a button.
