Techniques

Quilting is not just about making quilts for beds. Many artists make art quilts or use quilting techniques in their work. Just have a look at the work done by a variety of artists on the Contemporary Quilt website. If you have two or three layers, with stitching which goes through all three layers, you have a quilt. In this section there are ideas for techniques you could use in your textiles work.
